Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, a cheaper version of last year’s Tab 3. This has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It would come in Wi-Fi only and 3G variants similar to the Tab 3.
It has Samsung Link, Samsung Voice and comes pre-loaded with Samsung ChatON, Dropbox, Polaris Office and Flipboard apps. It is not clear if the 3G version has voice calling since the images doesn’t reveal an earpiece. According to the recently leaked manual the tablet packs a dual-core Marvell PXA986 processor with Vivante GC1000 GPU.
